Antique French Holy spirit 18k gold pendant, dove shape. Rare regional jewel from the 19th Century.

Description

French gold Holy spirit, in 18k rose gold. It is a regional jewel from Puy en Velay in France. This pendant takes the shape of the dove of the Holy Spirit, the beak down. The dove is cut in a fine gold leaf, it was once enameled but it only remains today the grid engraved below, used to hold the enamel. In the center sits a pink rhodolite garnet. Three pendants in the form of tears (or gourds) are suspended from the pendant. Regional jewel from the beginning of the 19th century, Puy en Velay, Auvergne, France. Rare to find.

Marked with a horse’s head (1838-1919), goldsmith’s mark: Perrier

Dimensions : 4.3 cm x 3 cm

Condition : slight deformations and dents, trace of enamel, yellow gold spring ring.

Weight : 2.38 gr
