Diamond brooches

Diamonds had their heyday in jewelry making at the end of the 19th century after the discovery of the Premier mine in South Africa. The mine is so large and rich in diamonds that the price of the stone falls and all jewelers adorn their jewelry with these brilliant stones. Then, during the Art Deco period, it was the fashion for “white” jewelry: platinum frames, jewelry set only with diamonds. The diamond brooches know their hours of glory.
