Edwardian lioness tie pin in 18-karat yellow gold (750) and platinum. It features the head of a lioness with an open mouth, holding an old mine cut diamond set in a closed setting. The lioness’s head is intricately detailed, showcasing its fur. The realistic naturalistic craftsmanship of this piece is quite exquisite, reminiscent of pins designed by René Boivin around 1906. Edwardian period.

Ruby diamond gold bottle vase with 18k yellow gold setting. This small covered pot is intricately carved from a ruby root and features a mount made of 18k yellow gold on the neck, lid, and base. The neck and base are adorned with a frieze set with 32 diamonds of varying cuts (a mix of old and brilliant cuts). This is a decorative object from the 20th century with foreign craftsmanship. It is stamped with the owl hallmark.

Art Deco diamond locket in gold 18 karats (750) and platinum. This rare medallion is a photo holder, fully enamelled in black matte on both sides and its bail. It is decorated with a circular pattern in platinum, set with 42 rose-cut diamonds. The medallion opens and can conceal a photograph, which is wedged under a thin glass plate and a gold circle (present inside the medallion). On the two inner faces, the gold has been polished in successive rounds that form a pattern. The clasp of the jewel is decorated with black enamel and set with four rose-cut diamonds. Red spinel trilogy ring 18 karat yellow gold. Three oval spinels adorn the ring, between each spinel are four old cut diamonds. The spinels have a beautiful dark red colour. The ring is finely chiselled on the gallery and shoulders, with a floral and scroll design. This ring is in the spirit of English Arts and Crafts. Early 20th century ring, probably England.

Tank ruby diamond scroll ring in yellow, pink and white gold 18 karat. Beautiful tank ring decorated in the centre of eight diamonds (brilliant cut and 8/8) in a white gold setting. The central diamonds are surrounded by two lines of four calibrated rubies. This geometric composition of rubies and diamonds is itself framed by two high-volume gold scrolls set with two lines of nine 88-cut diamonds. The jeweller and goldsmith plays with the volumes, the curved and geometric lines and the colours of the gold. Tank ring from 1945.

Antique Augis ring “more than yesterday less than tomorrow” in yellow gold 18 karats (750), signed. The ring is surmounted by an oval plate delicately worked in laurel leaves, which have slightly faded with time. The ring is soberly decorated and separates into two strands of gold on the edges of the tray. The “+” sign is set with five diamonds and the “-” sign is set with a baguette cut treated natural ruby. This refers to a quote from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poetess, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: “For, you see, every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis takes up these verses in his “medals of love” by condensing them into “+ than yesterday – than tomorrow”.
