The ring is centred on an orange coral pearl surrounded by two rolls of gold and framed by two lines of eight rose-cut diamonds (sixteen in all). The jewellery features the geometric lines typical of tank jewellery. Tank ring, circa 1940.

Tank coral diamond ring in 18 karat (750) white gold and platinum. Gemological point: Coral is a gem of organic origin. Only the branched calcareous trunks of certain corals are used in jewellery. Its colour is due to organic pigments close to carotene: varying from blood red to white, passing by the pink “angel skin”. Currently, most coral species are protected under CITES, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

    Maurice Beck was a jeweler manufacturer of the early 20th century, having worked for René Boivin.

This ring is centered on a magnificent brilliant cut fancy diamond, whose brown color sparkles with orange. The diamond weighs 0.79 carat and is set with 8 claws. Antique setting from early 20th, certainly reassembled later with the diamond.
