Description
Victorian French draperie necklace in 18 karat yellow gold. The necklace is composed of oval links with twists and millegrain, openwork and decorated with rows of pearls, articulated to each other, decreasing size. The seven main links are connected by suspended chains, each decorated with a fine pearl. A tassel hangs from the central link, also decorated with a fine pearl. Napoleon III French necklace, Victorian period, circa 1880.
Delicate piece to handle with care, a very nice effect when worn. The chain of the necklace is delicately worked.
Eagle head hallmark and double boar/eagle hallmark (on the clasp).
