More information : The medal refers to the quotation from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poetess, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: “For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis took up these lines in his “medailles d’amour”, condensing them into “+ que hier – que demain”.
