With its straight geometric lines and openwork design, this octagonal brooch is in keeping with the typical trends of the Art Deco period. It is representative of the white jewellery that was in fashion at the time. The jewel is entirely paved with 77 old and rose-cut diamonds. One bigger diamond sits in the centre of the composition. This diamond weighs approximately 0.32 carat. Early 20th century jewel, circa 1920-1930.

The base of the crown is decorated with round rubies and oval emeralds in a circular and triangular setting. These gems are framed by two lines of rose-cut diamonds in a platinum beaded setting. At the top, there is a stylized fleur-de-lis motif in a diamond setting, alternating with pearls. A decorative chain with jaseron mesh runs along both sides of the base of the crown. The two pins are linked to each other by a gold chain. Victorian jewel dating from the second half of the 19th century, France, for hat or tie. They are called “inseparables” and came into use around 1835.

1360,00€Art Nouveau enamel brooch in yellow gold 18 karats. Brooch of triangular form with lines in “whiplash”, decorated with flowers of iris in the center. The work on the gold is particularly strong and delicate. In the openwork parts, the goldsmith has applied an enamel called “plique à jour” of a mauve color. The enamel is unevenly deposited and slightly milky. On the reverse side, the brooch is chiseled with a floral motif that also gives it movement. In the lower part, a hoop was added afterwards, which allows the brooch to be worn as a pendant. Brooch – pendant in plique enamel of the Art Nouveau period, circa 1910.

The brooch is also enamelled, taking the colors of a gradient going from the light pink to the purple. The three enameled bands frame the central stone. The brooch has the lines of the German Art Nouveau period, the Jugendstil. On the reverse, the jewel bears a monogram MM.
