More information : Malachite is a hydrated copper carbonate, displaying various shades of green ranging from light to dark and intense. This stone was highly fashionable in the 19th century for cameos or cabochon cuts. In the 1960s, it was set in jewelry by Buccellati, Schlumberger, Tiffany & Co, etc.

Russian turquoise drapery necklace in 14 karat (583) rose gold. Drapery necklace composed of eleven drop-shaped plates topped with turquoise cabochons. The turquoise is a beautiful lagoon blue with natural brown inclusions (pyrites and matrix). The necklace is finished with a double chain of flat links. The turquoise may have come from Kazakhstan, a country under Russian rule since the 17th century, where turquoise mines are still found, but more likely from Persia, which supplied countries and courts with its beautiful, intense-blue stones. Turquoise from Kazakhstan is generally blue with a hint of lavender inside, suggesting Persian turquoise. Necklace circa 1900, chain changed afterwards.
On the chain, certainly changed after the necklace was made: Russian “sickle and hammer” hallmark (active after 1958), SAS hallmark on the clasp.

Original necklace formed by a rigid hoop holding a pendant composed of articulated circular gold elements, adorned with six brilliant-cut diamonds, and three oval elements set with opal triplets. This jewel from the 1970s is reminiscent of the necklaces created by Jean Vendôme during that time. A piece with a bold style.

The necklace is adorned with an 18-karat white gold clasp in the shape of a knot, fully set with round brilliant-cut, baguette-cut, and 8/8-cut diamonds (33 diamonds in total). The main diamond weighs 0.10 carats. Each strand consists of 63, 69, and 77 pearls, respectively. Dating back to the 1970s, made in France.
