Small Augis “+ qu’hier – que demain” love medal in 18 karat yellow gold (750 thousandths). The medal adopts a round shape, a small format. The “+” sign is enhanced by a rose-cut diamond, while the “-” sign is highlighted by two calibrated synthetic rubies. The words “que hier” and “que demain” are in relief. The whole is set against an amati background in a radiant setting, playing with the rays of light. The inscription refers to a quotation from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poetess, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: “For, you see, every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis used these verses in his “médailles d’amour”, condensing them into “+ qu’hier – que demain”. The medal is encircled by a laurel garland.
