Jewellery point : the traditional Marseilles necklace is in fall. It was made in Marseille and its surroundings. A gold pearl was first offered at the birth of a girl, the others were added at each event of her life : communion, birthdays, good grades. The tradition goes back to the 18th century, when the dealers of Marseille kept their gold in the form of balls around their neck. This is a contemporary version that is not in drops but in balls of alternating sizes.
