About Emile Dropsy (1848-1923): a French engraver and medal-maker, Emile Dropsy finished his studies at the age of thirty and began making medals under the guidance of Ferdinand Levillain. For a long time, he devoted himself to creating religious medals, which were very popular with the public.

Art Deco diamond locket in gold 18 karats (750) and platinum. This rare medallion is a photo holder, fully enamelled in black matte on both sides and its bail. It is decorated with a circular pattern in platinum, set with 42 rose-cut diamonds. The medallion opens and can conceal a photograph, which is wedged under a thin glass plate and a gold circle (present inside the medallion). On the two inner faces, the gold has been polished in successive rounds that form a pattern. The clasp of the jewel is decorated with black enamel and set with four rose-cut diamonds. Pendant stained glass enamel in yellow gold 18 karats. Circular medallion decorated with translucent enamel or “plique-a-jour”. The decorative enamel pattern consists of a coat of arms in the center, decorated with small blue and green diamonds. It is surrounded by yellow and orange flames. Medallion pendant mid 20th century, in an Art Nouveau style.

Art Nouveau enamel brooch in yellow gold 18 karats. Brooch of triangular form with lines in “whiplash”, decorated with flowers of iris in the center. The work on the gold is particularly strong and delicate. In the openwork parts, the goldsmith has applied an enamel called “plique à jour” of a mauve color. The enamel is unevenly deposited and slightly milky. On the reverse side, the brooch is chiseled with a floral motif that also gives it movement. In the lower part, a hoop was added afterwards, which allows the brooch to be worn as a pendant. Brooch – pendant in plique enamel of the Art Nouveau period, circa 1910.

Heart lucky charm pendant in yellow gold 18 karats. This yellow gold pendant is in the shape of heart, it is hollow, and decorated with a four-leaf clover in slightly green gold.
Pendant lucky charm from the late victorian period, early Edwardian (beginning of 20th century).
Victorian agate cameo pendant in yellow gold 18 karats decorated with the profile of the goddess Flora, wearing flowers in her hair. The agate has three layers: gray for the background, white for the profile, brown for the flowers in the hair. The cameo is set with fleur-de-lis claws. Four old- European cut diamonds, as well as eight rubies (including a red stone) frame the cameo on a curved black enamel band. Jewel of the second half of the 19th century, French Napoleon III period or Victorian period.
