Modernist triplets opals diamond necklace in 18-karat yellow gold (750 thousandths). Original necklace formed by a rigid hoop holding a pendant composed of articulated circular gold elements, adorned with six brilliant-cut diamonds, and three oval elements set with opal triplets. This jewel from the 1970s is reminiscent of the necklaces created by Jean Vendôme during that time. A piece with a bold style.

Vintage garnet signet ring in 18k gold (750). This ring features an oval faceted garnet in a closed setting at its center. The ring’s shank is adorned with fine gadroons on the shoulders and along the body, giving it the appearance of a signet ring. The stone has a beautiful deep red color. This vintage signet ring is from around 1970.

Georgian agate drapery necklace in yellow and pink gold 14 karats (585 thousandth) and 18 karats (750 thousandth). Rare and old necklace drapery and negligee composed of cabochons of cornaline, alternated with cabochons of agate dendritic. The gems are linked together by fine chains of braided 18 karat gold. In the centre of the composition, the carnelian cabochon is surrounded by fine pearls and holds two moss agates in pendeloque (sloppy necklace effect). The clasp is a ratchet box, which is discreetly hidden under an element of the necklace.

Gemology Note: Coral is an organic gemstone. Only the calcareous branched trunks of certain corals are used in jewelry. Its color comes from organic pigments close to carotene, ranging from blood-red to white, with shades of angel skin pink. Traditionally, coral necklaces were often given to young children to protect them from illness. Coral was believed to have protective qualities, especially in the Mediterranean region, particularly in Italy and Corsica.
Antique Iberian foiled citrine earrings in 18k gold (750) and silver, set with citrines and flat diamonds. Earrings are made up of five articulated elements, each adorned with small diamonds and large citrines set in gold on a pink-red foil. They are called “Oil and Vinegar”. The pendants are fastened to the ears by clips, formed by a yellow gold screw system that grips the earlobe. Georgian foiled back citrine and diamond earrigns, circa 1780-90, Iberian Peninsula.

Antique necklace cameo pendant in 18 karat yellow and rose gold (750). Necklace featuring a photo medallion centered with an agate cameo of a woman profile with an antique hairstyle. The cameo is surrounded by a finely braided circular gold element, similar to the thick chain. The medallion is in rose gold and opens onto a compartment that can hold a photograph or a lock of hair, protected by glass. The necklace chain resembles a tube of gold braiding, giving it a slight elasticity (like a spring). It closes with a ratchet box concealed in the body of the necklace. The medallion pendant was made by Lucien or Laurent Nicot (active in Paris from 1854 to 1903).

Turquoises pearls flowers bracelet 18 karat yellow gold (750). Vintage bracelet decorated with four flowers in full bloom, set with cultured pearls and turquoise pearls in their centre. Antique mourning locket pendant in 18 karat yellow gold. Important locket pendant enamelled in black – including the bail – and set with two onyx plates. The medallion opens and bears the inscriptions “souvenir de mon excellente mère” (in memory of my excellente mother) and “26 septembre 1869”. A photo and a lock of hair can be slipped inside the jewel and protected by glass vent. It is a jewel of feeling, a jewel of mourning to remember a loved one who has passed away. The locket feels rich in hand with its substantial weight (22.5g) and its large size. Antique locket, French Second Empire period, Victorian period, France.
