Victorian garnet locket pendant
Description
Victorian garnet locket pendant in yellow gold 18 karats. Medallion in gold delicately inlaid of friezes. In the center there is a cabochon of garnet with wine color, also called “garnet almandine”. On the reverse, the medallion is set with a thick beveled glass. The locket opens and can show a photograph or a lock of hair, protected behind the glass. Antique souvenir pendant from the French Napoleon III period, Victorian period, France.
