Retro Augis love medal ring in yellow gold 18 karats.Ring centered with a love medal “more than yesterday less than tomorrow” in yellow gold, signed A.Augis. The sign “+” is set with a diamond and the sign “-” of two synthetic rubies calibrated. The love medal is set in a closed setting with a rope pattern. The ring is topped by a delicately worked basket. The shoulders are patterned with stylized leaves. French ring, circa 1940/1950.

More information : This refers to the quotation from a letter of Rosmonde Gérard, the poetess, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac : “For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis took up these verses in his “medals of love” by condensing them into “+ than yesterday – than tomorrow”.
