Description
Neo Etruscan scarab brooch in yellow gold 18 karats (750). Antique brooch of elongated form centered of a carved scarab in carnelian. On the back of the scarab is engraved an intaglio showing a soldier carrying a shield. The brooch is decorated with filigree and grainetis. Work very close to the jewels of Alfredo CASTELLANI (1853 – 1930) and Ernesto PIERRET (1824-?).Owl hallmark and partially legible goldsmith’s hallmark
