Art deco bangle bracelet in gold and platinum. The bracelet represents a snake adorn with a cabochon-cut sapphire surrounded by diamonds.

Description

Art Deco snake bracelet in yellow and white gold 18 karats. Bracelet in hollow gold figured by a snake winding on itself. A cabochon-cut sapphire adorns the head of the reptile, it is surrounded by seventeen rose-cut diamonds in a white gold setting. The eyes of the snake are suggested by incisions. Bracelet from the first half of the 20th century, Art Deco period.

Eagle hallmark, goldsmith’s hallmark of the House of Gross (either Gross, Langoulant, & Cie; or Gross, Poîlevé & cie; or Gross, Javey & Cie) having made models for the House of René Boivin.
