Description
Art Deco Holy Mary medal in pink gold, yellow and white 18 karat. The medal is oval, the profile of the Virgin Mary is in the center of the pendant in a circular medallion. The virgin is crowned with a crown of lilies, symbol of virginity. The signature is at the bottom right, partially legible “Deplatte…”. Around the medallion, a decoration of roses, similar to the roses of Margaret Mackintosh. Rectilinear forms in white gold frame the whole composition. On the back of the medal, a monogram “RG” is engraved. Religious medal of the early 20th century, from the Art Deco period with an Art Nouveau influence.
Eagle head hallmark, signature of the medal maker “DEPLATTE…”.
