Vintage pink sapphire ring in yellow gold 18 karats (750). The ring is centered on an oval pink sapphire, set with four claws. Six brilliant-cut diamonds frame the sapphire. Second hand jewel.

More about pink sapphire : Sapphire is a variety of corundum. This gem is commonly known by its intense blue colour. What is less well known is that sapphires come in all colours: they can be colourless (leucosaphir), yellow, orange, pink, red (only called “ruby”), purple, green, etc. This sapphire is purplish pink because chromium has crept into its chemical structure, giving it this colour.
