Description
Huguenot cross pendant in 18 karat yellow gold representing in the upper part the cross of Malta with points decorated with stylized “pearls”. With openwork hearts between the branches of the cross, from which is suspended the Holy Spirit dove. The cross is finely chased on both sides. Second hand religious jewel from the 20th century.

The Maltese Cross is a protestant symbol from the South of France, this representation of a cross was created around 1688 after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, by Maystre, a goldsmith from Nîmes.
