Description
Georgian French Love allegory pendant in 18 karat gold. Antique rectangular pendant featuring a miniature on gold and black eglomised glass. The scene shows a couple about to kiss, while the lover is engraving “À l’amour” (To Love) on a tree trunk. The background is embellished with a sheaf motif in hair. The pendant is held by three chains, held by a bélière, with a fourth chain holding a key. The frame has been restored. Antique pendant, circa 1810, French Empire, Georgian Period, France. Jewel of sentiment.
Shell hallmark on the 14-karat gold bail, rooster hallmark with head turned to the right, owl hallmark.

Condition: scratches from use, some damage to the motif under the glass, frame restored.
