Oval-shaped locket pendant with an enamelled plaque in the centre featuring the profile of a Roman emperor, set in a white and blue enamelled frame embellished with gold acanthus leaves. The pendant opens to conceal a sentimental object. This jewel is accompanied by a case inscribed ‘Parkes, 12, Vigo street, Regent Street W.’. Medallion pendant, 19th century, probably English.

Antique french perpignan ring in 18 karat (750) gold. Antique ring centred on a round garnet surrounded by six round rose-cut garnets set in pearls. The main garnet is mounted on a structure attached by clasps/rings to the ring head. The ring is soberly decorated with a gadroon on each shoulder. The gold structure is finely decorated with triangular V-shaped figures on the edges, and the back of the bezels is domed. These stones are known as ‘Perpignan’ or ‘rose’ cut, and are faceted on top but flat underneath. These garnets have a beautiful raspberry-pink-red colour. Regional ring, mid-19ᵉ century, France.

Badine Perpignan garnet cross in 18 karat rose gold. Antique pendant in the form of a cross with two elements: a knot at the top and a large cross at the bottom. The two elements are linked by four fine chains. The lower part of the cross is mobile. The entire piece is set with 33 garnets on red foils, cut in round, oval and drop shapes. This is a typical piece of jewelry from the Perpignan region. The term “badine” indicates that the lower part of the cross is mobile.
