Description
Victorian drapery garnet necklace in 800 thousandths silver. Nineteenth-century necklace, alternating black enamel elements with white polka dots, forming knotted ribbons, and filigree elements. The necklace is set with cabochon-cut oval faceted garnets. In the center of the composition, two girandole motifs adorned with garnets and fine pearls. Round clasp adorned with a garnet. Antique necklace, mid-19th century, France.
Boar’s head hallmark (French state hallmark for 800 silver) and illegible goldsmith’s hallmark.

Conditions: at the back, on the last filigree motif, a tassel is missing. Small enamel chips.
