Description
Victorian marcasite enamel earrings in 800 Silver. These earrings are of the clip-on type and consist of an openwork rosette in the upper part. The lower part features a long element with a central guilloché blue enamel medallion, edged in gold and pierced with a fleur-de-lis. The pendant is adorned with scrolls and crafted in openwork. Marcasites are set throughout the entire piece. On the reverse side, the earrings are decorated with engraving. Antique clip-on earrings, circa 1880, France, Victorian period.
Hallmarks: Boar’s head and partially illegible maker’s mark, 800/1000 mark on the closure system.
