Perpignan garnet bangle bracelet

Perpignan garnet bangle in 18 karat (750 thousandths) pink gold. Bangle bracelet made up of two hollow pink gold rods and centered with seven round garnets. The garnets are in the so-called “Perpignan” cut, a flat-bottomed rose cut. They have a beautiful raspberry red-pink color, typical of Perpignan garnet jewelry. The garnets are mounted on a paillon and set in a closed setting. The setting is delicately decorated with triangular V-shaped figures, on the edges, the bottom of the chatons is domed. The clasp is a ratchet box secured by an eight. Antique bangle bracelet, circa 1880, South-East of France.
