Antique charms
The definition of a charm is as follows: “a small piece of costume jewelry that is worn hanging from a chain or a bracelet”. They were popularized under the English name of “charms” or charms in French. Thus, charms and charms are small elements, often figurative, that are worn on a bracelet or necklace. Most of the time they have a special meaning for their owner. They can take the form of animals, buildings, objects representative of a sport or a passion such as reading, football, cooking.
They are rarely worn alone and accumulate on the jewelry to which they are attached. Charms and trinkets are often given as gifts because they are accessible and allow collections to be maintained easily.
