Description
Victorian mourning gold earrings in 18 karat rose gold (750/1000). Charming antique earrings adorned with glass plates of Paris (imitation jet and onyx), circled with gold. The glass is smooth and shiny, beveled on the edges. Antique sleepers, jewel of the late 19th century. One can think that it is a jewel of mourning: during the 19th century women had to observe long periods of mourning and were only allowed to wear black, grey, then purple.
