She began her career in the 1920s, working for Maison Boivin before becoming the artistic director of Maison Herz for over 40 years. Famous for her revolutionary approach to jewelry design, Belperron created iconic pieces characterized by organic shapes, bold material combinations, and innovative aesthetics.

Suzanne Belperron caught the attention of prestigious clients, including the Duchess of Windsor, Coco Chanel, and Princess Grace of Monaco. Her mastery of the art of jewelry, coupled with her artistic independence, made her a key figure in high jewelry. Despite her considerable influence, Belperron was known for her humility, preferring to remain in the background compared to her remarkable creations.
