This jewel has already gone to its new home
Hermès Louis Zorra pin in 18 karat matte gold. Art Nouveau tie pin depicting the head of the god Hermes (Mercury) in profile, wearing a blue enameled winged helmet (called a pegasus, one of the god's main attributes). The wings of the helmet are represented by a natural baroque pearl. The tip of the pin is protected by a system that Louis Zorra himself patented in the 1920s. Jewel made by Louis Zorra, France, circa 1900.
Eagle head hallmark, hallmark of the goldsmith Louis Zorra. Annotation “BTE SGDG B LZ” for: “Patented without government guarantee” and LZ for Louis Zorra.
