Art Nouveau enamel brooch

Art Nouveau enamel brooch in yellow gold 18 karats. Brooch of triangular form with lines in "whiplash", decorated with flowers of iris in the center. The work on the gold is particularly strong and delicate. In the openwork parts, the goldsmith has applied an enamel called "plique à jour" of a mauve color. The enamel is unevenly deposited and slightly milky. On the reverse side, the brooch is chiseled with a floral motif that also gives it movement. In the lower part, a hoop was added afterwards, which allows the brooch to be worn as a pendant. Brooch - pendant in plique enamel of the Art Nouveau period, circa 1910.
