Victorian mourning drop earrings
Victorian mourning drop earrings in 18 karat gold. These long earrings are composed of three articulated black glass beads imitating onyx. The structure and sleeper-style clasps are crafted in yellow gold. These were likely mourning earrings from a wealthy family, as ladies' attire had to be entirely black for many months following a death. Antique drop earrings, circa 1890, France.

All our jewelry is delivered with a certificate for insurance value. It includes a photo, a complete description of the jewelry, the purchase price and the customer's address. All our stones are appraised by our gemologist, a graduate of the National Institute of Gemmology in Paris. Some stones are accompanied by a French laboratory certificate (this is then specified in the jewelry sheet). The jewelry is carefully checked, a condition report accompanies each description.
