








Renaissance diamond ring
This jewel has already gone to its new home
Renaissance diamond ring in 22 karat gold (916 thousandths). Ring dating from the end of the 17th century, set with two table-cut diamonds and a table-cut rock crystal on a closed background. The bezel is decorated with black enamel forming dots (some missing pieces). The body of the ring, decorated with raised scales reminiscent of snake skin, retains traces of black enamel in places. Renaissance ring, circa 1670, probably French.
Exemption from hallmark given the period of the ring.
Ring size: 51 EU or 5.5 US
Chaton dimensions: 3.9 x 10.6 mm
Condition: normal wear (commensurate with its age), missing enamel, a rock crystal was probably set to replace a damaged or lost diamond.
Weight: 2.72 gr
