Long Georgian Italian earrings and 18 karat gold drop earrings. These large, hinged earrings are for non-pierced ears. They consist of three tiers formed by rectangular plates decorated with scrolls. Coral beads, a beautiful pinkish-orange hue, connect the plates together. The whole ends with an elongated drop-shaped tassel. The neo-Etruscan inspiration of the model, and the attachment system, suggests Italian manufacture from the early 19th century. Long drop earrings, circa 1830.
