Lily of the valley Russian brooch in rose and yellow gold 14 karats. The brooch represents a sprig of lily of the valley flowered with five bells adorned with old cut diamonds. The bells are mobile. The beginning of the stem is adorned with a crescent moon adorned with five rose-cut diamonds, this part is in yellow gold. In total, the brooch is set with eleven diamonds. Russian brooch from the Art Nouveau period, pre-Russian Revolution. Late 19th - early 20th century.
Hallmark 56 Zołotnik (active between 1882-1925), scallop hallmark for 14k gold. Goldsmith's hallmark A... crushed. Double-headed eagle hallmark half inscribed.

To know more about the lily of the valley : As a symbol of spring's arrival, the lily-of-the-valley was a favourite flower of the Russian Empresse, wife of Tsar Nicholas II. A Fabergé enamelled brooch, set with a similar diamond sprig of the flower, was given by Empress Alexandra Feodorovna to Marion Louisa 'Pollie' Delmé-Radcliffe, Baroness Ungern-Sternberg in June 1898 (Christie's, London, 29 November 2010, lot 220)
