Antique miniature portrait brooch
This jewel has already gone to its new home
Antique miniature portrait brooch in 18 karat (750 thousandths) pink gold and silver. A round portrait representing a fashionable lady of the 18th century is painted in grisaille (shades of gray). The portrait is circled in gold and two branches of flowers decorated with pearls cross on the upper part of the jewel. Six pearls decorate the outline of the brooch to enhance the lovely portrait. 19th century jewel, Napoleon III period.
