Poitou regional wedding ring in silver and rhinestones: antique ring called "à la française" in 800 thousandths silver. A set of eight red and green rhinestones surround a faceted oval glass on a spangle, of an intense plum red color. Volutes decorate the shoulders of the ring. The ring is in stamped and hollow silver. Ring made by Etienne Renoux of Niort, between 1840-1850. Regional work from Niort, Poitou region, France.

These jewels were traditionally wedding rings given in the regions of Poitou, Normandy and Brittany in the 19th century.

Condition: partially damaged stamping, wear from time
