Description
Sapphire smile ring, a design attributed to Fred, in 18 karat yellow gold. The ring is decorated with a line of nine square sapphire in channel setting. They have an intense blue color. This ring is transformable, it opens and closes, in full or half, allowing to hide the sapphires behind two thick yellow gold bands. This is a prototype ring, attributed to Fred, unsigned, circa 1990.
Two similar models were exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, during the exhibition “Fred, joallier créateur depuis 1936”.
Goldsmith’s hallmark, traces of eagle head hallmark and 750 inside the ring.
