Victorian turquoise cluster ring depicting a forget-me-not flower from the late 19th Century period
Victorian turquoise cluster ring
Description
Victorian turquoise cluster ring with an 18 karat yellow gold setting adorned with 7 prong-set turquoise pearls depicting a forget-me-not flower. Turquoises have different shades of blue which is a good sign: the color of the stone is due to the copper and when the blue has slightly green tints it is because the copper has oxidized a little. This therefore means the stones have not undergone stabilization treatment with resin.
Hallmark 750. Foreign work, late 19th, Victorian period.
Note: It is advisable not to put the turquoises under water as this can alter the copper and therefore the color.
Finger size: 50 or 5.5
Weight: 2.40 gr
