Medium-sized circular love medal pendant, the “+” sign is set with an old-cut diamond and the “-” sign is set with two calibrated synthetic rubies. The medal is surrounded by a smooth rim. The background is decorated with radiating striations, highlighting the words “+ qu’hier – que demain”. The pendant refers to a quotation from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poetess, to her love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: “For, you see, every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. The garnets are “Perpignan-cut”, a rose-cut with a flat base. They have a beautiful raspberry-pink-red color, typical of Perpignan garnet jewelry. The garnets are mounted on paillon and set en clos. The setting is delicately decorated with triangular V-shaped figures on the edges, and the bezel bottoms are domed. The clasp is secured by an eight clasp.
