Description

Victorian amphora bottle pendant in yellow, pink and green gold 18 karats (750). This antique pendant is in the form of an amphora with an opening lid. The amphora is delicately decorated with a garland of flowers and leaf in yellow and green gold. The handles are chiselled with fine motifs. A carnelian plate is placed under the base of the jewel to be used as a seal (not engraved). The jewel is decorated with a chain with a flower, which can be worn as a pendant. Antique bottle pendant, dating from the 19th century, Victorian period.

More information : this antique jewel is a small perfume or salt flask, which was used by ladies – from the 17th to the 19th century – who were prone to fainting due to tight corsets. These objects were carried in a bag or pocket, but were also worn as a pendant.
