Further informations : Daughter of artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot, Paloma Picasso expressed her art in the field of jewellery, notably by offering her talents to Yves Saint Laurant in 1969. In 1971, she signed her first jewellery collection for Zolotas. From the 1980s onwards, she created a series of forty pieces of jewellery for her friend John Lauring, then artistic director of TIFFANY. She is also appreciated for her jewellery with lightning bolt designs and her series of calligraphic designs: erasures and Xs. In 1985, she created a silver line, again for TIFFANY, of which our brooch is a part. Paloma Picasso is one of the four artists who have worked for Tiffany along with Elsa Peretti, Jean Schlumberger and Frank Gehry.
