Description
Augis love ring “More than yesterday Less than tomorrow” in 18 karats yellow gold. The ring is surmounted by a matt gold medal mentioning the quote taken from a letter from Rosmonde Gérard, the poet, to his love Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac: “Because, see you, every day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow”. The “+” sign adorned with a little diamond and the “-” sign with two calibrated synthetic rubies. The medal is set with 12 high claws. On the reverse, the medal is engraved with the initials “JJ” and the date 12.6.61. French work from the 1960s.
Inspired by these two lovers, Alphonse Augis takes up these lines in his “love medals” by condensing them into “more than yesterday – tomorrow”.
