Art Nouveau Holy Mary medal signed Dropsy in yellow 18 karats gold. Religious pendant showing the 

Virgin Mary with a halo, her face turned to the left. On the reverse, the pendant is decorated with a radiant crown surrounded by two roses. This Art Nouveau medal is signed by Emile Dropsy. Christian pendant from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1910.

Eagle’s head hallmark partially erased, illegible goldsmith’s hallmark, signature E.Dropsy for Emile Dropsy (1848 – 1923)

About Emile Dropsy : He is a French engraver and medallist, at the age of thirty, Emile Dropsy finished his studies and started to make medals under the direction of Ferdinand Levillain. For a long time he devoted himself to the creation of religious medals, which were very popular with the public.
