Description
Amethyst cocktail ring in 18k yellow gold. The amethyst cabochon is oval and it has a very beautiful intense purple color. It is in the center of the ring in a bezel setting surrounded by openwork honeycomb gold work. Amethyst weighs approximately 3.30 carats. Very nice work from the middle of the 20th century, around the 60s.
Amethyst presents natural inclusions which gives it a slightly cloudy effect. These are not flaws in the stone, it is in perfect condition.
Unknown maker’s mark. Eagle guarantee hallmark, French work.
