Georgian agate drapery necklace in yellow and pink gold 14 karats (585 thousandth) and 18 karats (750 thousandth). Rare and old necklace drapery and negligee composed of cabochons of cornaline, alternated with cabochons of agate dendritic. The gems are linked together by fine chains of braided 18 karat gold. In the centre of the composition, the carnelian cabochon is surrounded by fine pearls and holds two moss agates in pendeloque (sloppy necklace effect). The clasp is a ratchet box, which is discreetly hidden under an element of the necklace.

French long necklace with enamel clasp and 14 karat (585) and 18 karat (750) rose gold. The 14 karat gold clasp is rectangular with two facets. The facets are decorated with enamels and motifs: one centred on a shield framed by two laurel leaves, the corners enamelled blue; the other decorated with a frieze of triangles enamelled blue, the corners enamelled white. The 18 karat gold sautoir chain is made of jaseron mesh. French regional jewellery from the mid-19th century, Normandy region.

Antique necklace cameo pendant in 18 karat yellow and rose gold (750). Necklace featuring a photo medallion centered with an agate cameo of a woman profile with an antique hairstyle. The cameo is surrounded by a finely braided circular gold element, similar to the thick chain. The medallion is in rose gold and opens onto a compartment that can hold a photograph or a lock of hair, protected by glass. The necklace chain resembles a tube of gold braiding, giving it a slight elasticity (like a spring). It closes with a ratchet box concealed in the body of the necklace. The medallion pendant was made by Lucien or Laurent Nicot (active in Paris from 1854 to 1903).

Antique religious ring in pink gold 18 karats. Ring with three symbols in its center, also called “the three virtues”. On the left, there is a navy anchor representing hope; in the center, a heart on fire symbolizing charity and finally on the right the cross representing faith. The three virtues are represented in gold on a blue enamel background. The ring is openwork with eleven raised dots. The latter allowed the wearer to scratch his tens serving as a rosary. Tank ruby diamond scroll ring in yellow, pink and white gold 18 karat. Beautiful tank ring decorated in the centre of eight diamonds (brilliant cut and 8/8) in a white gold setting. The central diamonds are surrounded by two lines of four calibrated rubies. This geometric composition of rubies and diamonds is itself framed by two high-volume gold scrolls set with two lines of nine 88-cut diamonds. The jeweller and goldsmith plays with the volumes, the curved and geometric lines and the colours of the gold. Tank ring from 1945.

French marquess crown brooch in yellow, rose gold 18 karats and platinum. Antique brooch representing a marquees crown. The base of the crown is decorated with round rubies and oval emeralds in a circular and triangular setting. These gems are framed by two lines of rose-cut diamonds in a platinum beaded setting. At the top, there is a stylized fleur-de-lis motif in a diamond setting, alternating with pearls. A decorative chain with jaseron mesh runs along both sides of the base of the crown. Georgian mourning hair ring in 14k pink gold. An antique locket ring keeping a braid of hair enclosed behind glass crystal. It is framed by a halo of 16 seed pearls and the settings is formed by two separated strands adorned with an openwork pattern. Jewel from the beginning of the 19th century, circa 1810-1830.

Hair jewellery was very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Jewellery with compartments made it possible to keep a lock of hair of a lover or a missing person (later it will be the photograph). It can be a medallion or a ring for example. There are also jewels made from hair, such as necklaces, chains, bracelets and rings. These hair jewels are worked like textiles: they are woven, embroidered, twisted. A whole craft industry developed around this new fashion, which lasted until the end of the 19th century.
Arts & Crafts brooch by Barnet Henry Joseph (1865-1929), in rose and yellow 9 karat gold. The brooch has a triangular shape and is composed of openwork interlacing. It is a typical pattern of English Art Nouveau movement, also called Arts & Crafts. In the center, a pink quartz cabochon adorns the piece in a serrated setting.
