    Victorian double snake ring in yellow gold 18 karats (750) and silver. This ring is made by two snakes wrapping around the finger. The heads of the two reptiles are surmounted by a Dutch rose-cut diamond. The heads are delicately chiselled and come to rest on the two rows formed by the body of the animal. Antique ring, France, Victorian period, late 19th Century.

    Georgian agate drapery necklace in yellow and pink gold 14 karats (585 thousandth) and 18 karats (750 thousandth). Rare and old necklace drapery and negligee composed of cabochons of cornaline, alternated with cabochons of agate dendritic. The gems are linked together by fine chains of braided 18 karat gold. In the centre of the composition, the carnelian cabochon is surrounded by fine pearls and holds two moss agates in pendeloque (sloppy necklace effect). The clasp is a ratchet box, which is discreetly hidden under an element of the necklace.

    Hexagonal photo locket pendant in 18 karats gold. This antique locket pendant takes on the shape of a hexagon with a simple, undecorated gold border. The top section, beneath the bale, unscrews to open the pendant, revealing two beveled glasses inside. It can be used to insert a photo or a lock of hair. The pendant contains a miniature depicting a Saint or Saintess adorned with a crown of pink flowers and what appears to be a sword. The flower crown is an attribute of Saint Dorothée or Rosa de Lima, but there’s some uncertainty regarding this iconography. Above the saint’s halo, the word “félicité” (happiness) is discernible. This is an antique pendant from the mid-19th century.

    Condition: Signs of wear, invisible chip on the glass (under the mount). The miniature can be removed.

    Antique Iberian foiled citrine earrings in 18k gold (750) and silver, set with citrines and flat diamonds. Earrings are made up of five articulated elements, each adorned with small diamonds and large citrines set in gold on a pink-red foil. They are called “Oil and Vinegar”. The pendants are fastened to the ears by clips, formed by a yellow gold screw system that grips the earlobe. Georgian foiled back citrine and diamond earrigns, circa 1780-90, Iberian Peninsula.

    Georgian paste marquise ring in 18 karat gold (750) and silver marquise ring. This large antique marquise-type ring features an oval head adorned with an opalescent glass plaque, onto which green paste stones have been set, forming a flower at the center of the jewel. A line of white paste stones surrounds the central plaque, they exhibits a common trick called the “black spot” which was when a hole was cut at the back of the foil behind the paste. This showed the black spot that was meant to imitate the culet on an old mine cut diamond. The ring’s band is decorated with two delicate ridges at the shoulder. Georgian period, circa 1820, France.

    Cluster ring Perpignan garnets in 18k rose gold. Antique ring centred on a round garnet surrounded by six round rose-cut garnets set in pearls. The main garnet is mounted on a structure attached by clasps/rings to the head of the ring. The ring is soberly decorated with a gadroon on each shoulder. The gold structure is finely decorated with triangular V-shaped figures on the edges, and the back of the bezels is domed. These stones are known as “perpignan” or “rose” cut and are faceted on the top but flat on the underside. These garnets have a beautiful raspberry, pink-red and slightly purplish colour. These colours are typical of Perpignan jewellery, with a palette of shades that is revealed in the sunlight.  Regional jewellery from the middle of 19th century, France.

The facets are decorated with enamels and motifs: one centred on a shield framed by two laurel leaves, the corners enamelled blue; the other decorated with a frieze of triangles enamelled blue, the corners enamelled white. The 18 karat gold sautoir chain is made of jaseron mesh. French regional jewellery from the mid-19th century, Normandy region.
