Abalone silver powder compact with mother-of-pearl flowers in 800 thousandths silver and vermeil. This powder box is adorned with inlaid white mother-of-pearl flowers on a background of black abalone mother of pearl. The center of the flowers is embellished with black glass cabochons. The powder box opens to reveal a compartment with a faceted mirror; the interior of the box has been cleaned and still has its ostrich feather applicator. Modern-era powder box, circa 1950, France.

Jugendstil enamelled brooch in silver (800). Antique triangular brooch forming a stylised butterfly. The jewel is centered of a faceted purple glass imitating the amethyst. The brooch is also enamelled, taking the colors of a gradient going from the light pink to the purple. The three enameled bands frame the central stone. The brooch has the lines of the German Art Nouveau period, the Jugendstil. On the reverse, the jewel bears a monogram MM. Victorian grisaille brooch miniature in 18 karat rose gold and silver. Of circular shape, a lady’s portrait dressed as in 18th Century fashion is painted in grisaille (different shades of greys). The portrait is encircled by a rose gold circle, two branches with flowers inlaid with pearls cross each other on the upper part of the jewel. Six pearls decorate the contour of the brooch to highlight the lovely portrait. Antique brooch from the Victorian period, 19th century.
