320,00€Antique pinchbeck bracelet and cut steel. Large antique bracelet in brown fabric imitating hair, with a large rectangular clasp in gilded steel called pinchbeck. The clasp is decorated with faceted and riveted cut steel. Antique bracelet from the early 19th century, circa 1830. Hair was a popular material at the time and some jewelers made fabric jewelry, less expensive, imitating braided hair.

The inscription is partially faded. This is due to the wear and use of the ring by its former wearer. Some rare models of this ring exist with the date “1863”. Memorial jewel, circa 1860.
