Perpignan garnets cluster ring in 18 karat (750) rose gold. This large, oval-shaped cluster ring is entirely set with faceted and flat-cut Perpignan garnets. The central oval garnet is surrounded by 23 round garnets. These garnets have a raspberry-red color typical of the garnets used in this region of southern France. More information : there are several examples of rings identified as Italian in the British Musuem, and although it is known that these designs were also made in Spain, there are no Spanish models referenced in museums. However, this style can be found throughout Southern Europe: Italy, Spain and Portugal, and can be explained by the presence of the Habsburgs during the 16th and 17th centuries in regions such as Sicily, Sardinia, Naples and Milan.
