At the end of the 17th century, Vincenzo PERUZZI invented the diamond’s cut with 58 facets. Named the “Peruzzi cut”, it is similar to the brilliant cut by a number of facets and by its proportions.

Hair jewellery was very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Jewellery with compartments made it possible to keep a lock of hair of a lover or a missing person (later it will be the photograph).
