About Emile Dropsy (1848-1923): a French engraver and medal-maker, Emile Dropsy finished his studies at the age of thirty and began making medals under the guidance of Ferdinand Levillain. For a long time, he devoted himself to creating religious medals, which were very popular with the public.

700,00€Sancta Maria Dropsy Medal pendant in yellow gold 18 karats (750). Christian pendant with the profile of the Virgin Mary, bearing the inscription “Sancta Maria” on the outline. On the reverse side of the medal, a flower garland adorns the pendant with the initials “MAM” and the date “30 May 1929”. Medal signed Emile Dropsy and Lucien Coudray (Marie Alexandre), French religious pendant, circa 1900.

1800,00€Antique reliquary locket pendant in 18k rose gold (750). On one side, the pendant is decorated with a miniature on paper depicting Saint Jerome praying before a cross, with a skull in the foreground. The miniature is protected by a beveled oval glass. The reverse features a chased oval mother-of-pearl plate adorned with a carnelian cabochon on red foil, set in the center of the composition. It forms the heart of Christ, in a radiating motif engraved in the mother-of-pearl. The medallion is decorated with fine chasing on the edge, which opens secretly by unscrewing the ring-like upper part. Antique medallion, probably French, dating from the late 18th century.

650,00€Antique religious ring in pink gold 18 karats. Ring with three symbols in its center, also called “the three virtues”. On the left, there is a navy anchor representing hope; in the center, a heart on fire symbolizing charity and finally on the right the cross representing faith. The three virtues are represented in gold on a blue enamel background. The ring is openwork with eleven raised dots. The latter allowed the wearer to scratch his tens serving as a rosary. Antique ring of the 19th century.
Acid tested ring: 18 karats.
Finger size: 55 EU or 7.5 US (can be resized)

Condition : Old trace of enlargement, that’s why there are 11 points and not 10. Missing enamel ; wear.

The decorative enamel pattern consists of a coat of arms in the center, decorated with small blue and green diamonds. It is surrounded by yellow and orange flames. Medallion pendant mid 20th century, in an Art Nouveau style.

660,00€Antique coral cross gold necklace in yellow gold 18 karat. The necklace and its pendant are decorated with coral beads. Each trio of pearls is linked by delicate braided gold chains. The cross is decorated with a millegrain pattern and with a coral pearls at the ends. The clasp is a thin ratchet box. Religious jewel, probably from the South of France, Mediterranean Sea, middle of the 19th Century.

This cross is in silver with filigree decoration, forming a cross adorn with paste faceted pink glasses on spangles meant to have a look of pink topaz. A black enamel decoration with white dots covers the entire pendant. A glass bead adorns the upper part of the composition. The bezels are completely closed.
